Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th April 2010
Hurricanes – building on the success of the previous years, we are delighted to invite you to join us at the overseas tour of 2010, to the Isle of White based Vectis Mini Rugby Tour
With more than two hundred and fifty Hurricanes enjoying the delights of Rugby “abroad”! This season’s tour (for U7 to U12 squads) is being held between Friday 23th and Sunday 25th April. Transport will be up to previous exemplary or high or luxury (or just previous standards) standards enjoyed by many people, young and old, the company will be equally as challenging and the accommodation as luxurious as many people in 1960 experienced.
The tour is open to parents and players alike, however if we are oversubscribed priority will be given to players with one accompanying adult. Your itinerary is as follows:
Friday 23th April: 17:00pm: Leave H&W RFC Clubhouse for Isle of Wight by coach
Saturday 24th April: Morning: Training session (2Hours approx)
Afternoon: R&R on Isle of Wight. Beach available for football/cricket
if tide out. Otherwise games room / bar etc.
Evening: Evening group barbeque and drinks (basic cost included in price).
Sunday 25th April: 10:30am: Vectis Mini Rugby Festival
17:30pm Return to Heathfield. Coaches will be waiting at venue.
Accommodation: As with previous years we are staying at the Whitecliff Bay Holiday Village at Bembridge on the Isle of Wight (www.whitecliff-bay.com). The festival on Sunday is only 20 minutes by coach from where we are staying. Note: if you are in a small party you may be sharing with another family (all part of the fun!).
Cost: We have set the costs for this year’s tour to £80 per head which is a slight increase over last year but we have to allow for some price increases in accommodation and travel. The tour does not aim to make profit and any surplus will be fed back into the club funds. The tour fees cover the coaches to and from the resort and festival, ferry crossing, two nights’ accommodation, attendance at our Saturday evening event and an item of tour clothing. The holiday village is self catering with a shop and there are various restaurants. For first timers we will produce a guide to help you know what’s what.
