Under 11’s Mini Rugby
Welcome to the 2009-
This year is especially exciting, as we add 2 more forwards to our pack, a full back, and – kicking!
It will prove to be a real test of skills, and above all, requires the boys to LISTEN AND CONCENTRATE!
It’ll be a year where the lads’ enjoyment and understanding of the game really develops.
We’ll need each boy (or girl, although we don’t currently have any) to try their best – including at training. We have a successful side that has enjoyed many huge victories in the past and collected more than its fair share of silverware.
However, we will not rest on our laurels, because if anything, other sides have caught up with us as the game changes towards a more physical challenge. We have a naturally gifted bunch of lads, where running and passing the ball for our wings to score has been the desire.
THIS WON’T WORK UNLESS WE CAN WIN THE BALL AND PROTECT IT WHEN WE’VE GOT IT!
So we have some work to do.....
Above all, yes we want to learn new skills, be successful and build the team, but there is no point if we don’t have FUN. So, don your boots and gumshield (players), or your wellies (parents/minders).....(please don’t get that the wrong way round).....and join us for what we hope will be our best season ever!!!!
